What is Sage Path?

Modified on Wed, 2 Apr at 8:52 AM

Sage Path is a free, article-transfer service that helps the author find suitable journals for their manuscript.
We provide the ability to choose journals according to the author's preferences using our Journal Recommendation tool and then contact those journals on the author's behalf, in order of preference provided by them. We may also provide recommendations based on author-provided data if the author-preferred journals either reject our transfer request or if they do not respond to our query in time.

Please be aware:

  • Some journals participating in this service might be "paused" at any given time. These paused titles will still show in the results of the Journal Recommender, and it will not mention if the title is paused or not.
  • You will not be able to select these paused titles for your preferred journals during the submission process to Sage Path. As a result, you may see a relevant (yet paused) journal in your recommender results, but you will not be able to select it as a preferred journal.
  • If you still wish to submit to such a journal, we encourage you to submit directly. If you opt for a direct submission to any journal, please make sure that you go through the Journal Description as well as their Submission guidelines provided on the journal's official Sage website.
