What does the status mean on my Sage Path account?

The status tells you which stage the paper is in, please see the table below for a definition of what each status means in Sage Path.

Awaiting Editor Assignment is the most common status as during this stage we are inviting editors of journals to inquire if they are willing to accept your paper. This can take time as we await those responses.

Sage Path Article Status	Sage Path Article Status Definition
Awaiting Admin Processing	Awaiting initial review by the Sage Path Office to ensure we have the correct information to process your manuscript.
Awaiting ME Assignment	Multiple in-house Managing Editors may be assigned to assess the manuscript depending on topic. This status indicates that a Managing Editor is being assigned based on that consideration.
Awaiting ME Assessment	The in-house Managing Editor will do an initial assessment to ensure the manuscript is ready to be shared with the editor of a receiving journal. This includes things like checking the language, ensuring the necessary elements are in place (e.g. funding information, ethical approval), and checking that the journals selected by the author match the scope of the manuscript.
Awaiting Editor Selection	The Sage Path Office is ready to send the paper to Editors of potential receiving journals. They are checking the notes from the Managing Editor’s assessment to determine who to send to.
Awaiting Editor Invitation	The Sage Path Office has selected Editors and will be sending them invitations to consider the manuscript shortly.
Awaiting Editor Assignment	The Editors of potential receiving journals have been invited to consider the manuscript for transfer into their journal.
Awaiting Editor Scores	The Editors of potential receiving journals have agreed to view further detail about the manuscript and will complete a form either approving the manuscript for transfer or passing on the manuscript.
Awaiting Recommendation	The Managing Editor is reviewing the replies from the Editors and deciding where to send the paper.
Awaiting Decision	The Sage Path Office is reviewing all information from the Managing Editor and preparing to send transfer information to the author.
